Today is our 20th wedding anniversary. Saying 20...followed by the word 'YEARS'...makes me gulp real big. TWENTY YEARS is a long time. You know what is weird about it? I just don't feel old enough to have been married twenty years. But I am...old enough that is...because I've been here all along.
My twenty favorite things about being married to Sterling are as follows (in no particular order):
1. He's always in a good mood.
2. He lets me be a career-driven feminist one minute and a quilting, baking, domestic goddess the next.
3. He never asks me to mow the lawn or work in the yard.
4. He's extremely patient.
5. He grills my steaks medium rare...even when he doesn't like it.
6. He keeps his stuff tidy.
7. He makes me go to church and be a nice girl.
8. He doesn't criticize me. Ever. Really.
9. He loves it when I make dinner, but doesn't get grouchy when he comes home to cereal.
10. He's a dream to travel with.
11. He loves waterparks...so I don't have to (he takes the kids).
12. He can make furniture out of WOOD!
13. He can fix anything.
14. He makes EXCEL spreadsheets to compute my grades.
15. He's very spiritual and takes charge of family prayer, family scripture study, etc.
16. He does his own laundry.
17. He's a great Dad.
18. He drives to seminary.
19. He's cuddly.
20. He listens to my academic stuff.

What a huge fantastic thing to celebrate - 20 years - CONGRATS!!! Y'all look the same - Here's hoping I age as well as you both when Logan and I celebrate our 20th.

Congratulations guys! I always love hearing things about Sterling because he's usually so quiet at family gatherings, what with all the chaos and screaming babies and such... :) I glanced at this pic and then up to your profile pic to the left of you and P.J.--you pretty much look the same! Must be that Brenner baby face.

That's the greatest photo I've ever seen. Plus, I adore the top 20 list! It's a really good idea for showing one's sweetheart why you love him. Lucky for me, I only have to have a Top 7 list this August! Congratulations on 20 years... and "ef" Anthropologie. Their stuff sucks anyway.
