I made the pilgramage to College Station AGAIN today. (Luke, don't freak...I had to get back home for kiddie pick up). I was just there on Friday but was forced to return again today because I filled in one line on ONE form incorrectly. Sad. But fun to be on campus. But sad to waste the gas.
So that's done.
Rebecca and I are cooking up some ideas for her birthday party this weekend. The kids (girls AND boys) will be swimming and hopefully playing water volleyball (if Sterling can carve out some time to rig up a net). We had footings for a net installed in the decking, but because one side of the pool has the flagstone wall...there is some complication to installing a level net. Don't picture it. Just know that it's not straightforward, and we will in all likelihood spend precious hours troubleshooting. Still. Our lives require water volleyball.
On the up side we are planning on hanging these from the ceiling of the porch. And serving these incredible cupcakes. And are in the process of coming up with a "sophisticated" yet fun party favor that includes candy. Those are my marching orders anyway. We are also going to serve Our Best Bite's stuffed pizza rolls and a fun drink (that doesn't come in a glass bottle) -- maybe canned Izze sodas. I hoping to do most of the party prep and then lean heavily on Sterling for party chaperoning and general conduct control. Sound good? Honey? HONEY???
