On Unhistoric Acts...

  • "...for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs." --George Eliot, Middlemarch

I am thinking that you are not progressing on your dissertation as rapidly as you would like because you have too many distractions in your life. "Various and sundry things" are taking front and center in your life and pushing the ancient women of England to the rear. I am offering a quiet hide-away in the mountains far away from the maddening crowd. Enlist Debbie or Jennifer to teach your sem. class for 10 days, Jordan and Madison to carpool and transport, and Rebecca to tend to the needs of the home. I'm sure that Sterling will keep all on task. I, on the other hand will wait on your hand and foot, loan you my car for travel to the U or BYU libraries and promise not to talk to you or distract you from your mission. At least know that the offer is out there.

Debbie

All this refocusing on your dissertation sounds like a very boring week for me. Meh.

I'm interested in such offer,The sound quality in these podcasts is really poor. I feel bad about complaining about something that is free, but I think it is important.
